He is a winner of the 2026 Joffrey Ballet Chicago’s Winning Works competition and an inaugural artist in residence for the LED Artist Haven Residency in partnership with the Alexa Rose Foundation. He is also a 2025 Carmel Dance Festival Choreographic Fellow and, in 2024, was a recipient of the $10,000 Alexa Rose Light of Day Award. His work has been featured in cities all over the US including Denver, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Detroit, New York, and Dallas. Daniel also frequently choreographs for Ballet Idaho, his former company of which he was a soloist for thirteen years. In 2025, Daniel was invited to choreograph a work for a gala in Santiago, Chile in honor of Rosita Rivano, a former dancer and legendary Chilean Ballet teacher, marking his first premiere abroad.
